@Jeff, I am raising the question. I'm not the only one that thinks this is what has gone on. Maybe there's a more mundane explanation for it, maybe you'd like to enlighten us as to what it is?

If you read my post you'll see;

a) I ask the question why, I didn't say Zeeshan's posts were censored, I said they were removed and would like to know why this was done. The reason may not be censorship.
b) I don't actually know for sure if it was done so I make two broad statements about the issue of censoring planet gnome.

Your response doesn't shed any light on the situation, it merely suggests I do what I've already done.

Uh, maybe you should do some research and ask some questions about things before raising such outrageous accusations.

How do you come to the conclusion that Zeeshan’s posts have been removed from planet GNOME if I can still see them on Planet GNOME?

I am terribly confused. As a previous author of many of the release notes, I remember have many conversations about crediting and linking right about when I got too busy with school to help out. I can tell you that everybody within the Ubuntu community (and that includes Canonical) were very much for any linking.

Now, as somebody else has pointed out in Zeeshan's blog, Steve Langasek, Ubuntu release manager, dropped the feature from the release notes for the clearly explained reason that the system monitor is a small (but very important) part of a distro or OS. For the record, I love the things you have been doing and think that GSM is a great tool.

As for the issue of being dropped from PGO, I have no idea. AFAIK, PGO is still largely controlled by Jeff Waugh and there have been many people ,including myself, who have expressed dissatisfaction with how PGO is run. In fact, despite being a foundation member for over a year, I cannot get my own blog listed on PGO.

Anyway, in sum: There are a bunch of issues that have been conflated here. If Ubuntu has forgotten somebody important to credit, I invite you to ping me via email and I can raise the issue.
